**Edward “Ed” Eugene Raines** 

*August 31, 1943 – August 13, 2024*

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edward “Ed” Eugene Raines, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who left this world peacefully on August 13, 2024, at the age of 80, surrounded by his loving family in Casper, Wyoming.

Born in St Louis, Missouri, on August 31, 1943, Ed lived a life full of faith, love, and joy. On June 20, 1960, he married the love of his life, Francis Eileen Raines, with whom he shared 64 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a family grounded in strong family values, unwavering love, and a deep faith in God.

Edward was the proud father of two daughters, Teresa Rodgers and Cathy Lindbloom. He was also a loving father-in-law to Cathy’s husband, Steve Lindbloom. Edward was the cherished grandfather of Scott Summers, Crissy Kinley, and Steven Lindbloom. His legacy lives on through his numerous great-grandchildren, all of whom will remember him for his warm hugs, playful spirit, and the countless moments of joy he brought into their lives. He is also survived by his sister, Carlyne Livesay, who shared in the many memories of their youth.

A man of many passions, Ed found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. Whether he was fishing on his boat, camping under the stars, hunting in the wilderness, or dancing with his beloved Francis, he embraced each moment with enthusiasm. He delighted in teasing his grandchildren with his legendary dad jokes, playing cards with friends, and sharing his faith through preaching and bible study. Ed’s capacity for love was unmatched; he saw the best in everyone and never gave up on anyone, bringing many to Jesus through his gentle guidance and unwavering belief in the goodness of God.

Ed’s life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and faith. He instilled these values in his family, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire for generations to come. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

A memorial service to celebrate Ed’s life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Bible Chapel in Casper, Wyoming. All who knew and loved him are invited to attend and share in the remembrance of a life well-lived.

Edward Eugene Raines, a man of God, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a cherished grandfather, has gone home to be with the Lord. His memory will forever be a blessing!
