Services for Duane Middleton will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at the First Southern Baptist Chapel, 485 E. Birch, Glenrock, with the Reverend James Ritter officiating. After a brief illness, Duane passed away at his home on May 8, 2009.
Duane was born on July 17, 1942 in Watertown, SD to Mike and Lois Middleton. The Middleton family moved to Casper, WY in 1952. Duane attended school in Casper and graduated from Natrona County High School in 1962. He married Sharon Stiffler in 1962; they raised two children Michele and Mike. Duane and Sharon were later divorced.
Duane married Carol (Lam) Hatfield on November 24, 1990.
Duane worked as an electrician for many of the Casper electrical shops until he hired on at the Dave Johnston Power Plant in 1981 as an electrician. He retired from the DJ plant in 2001. He was a member of the IBEW from 1961 until 2008.
Duane loved to travel with his wife, he loved to fish with his brother and took great pride in watching all his children & grandchildren grow and experience life.
Survivors include his wife Carol of Glenrock, daughter Michele Miller of Gillette, son Mike Middleton of Casper, stepdaughter Debbie Plymel of Camden, NC, stepson James Hatfield currently serving his country with the Army in Germany, brother Lee Middleton of Sundance; 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
Duane is preceded in death by his parents Mike and Lois (Clausen) Middleton an infant sister Marilyn, and his father-in-law & mother-in-law Howard & Mary Lam.
