Duane Pierce Mendoza

Pierce Duane Mendoza was born July 20, 1952 in Laramie Wy. He was the youngest son to Richard Mendoza and Wanda Mae Presley Mendoza. His Mom passed away when he was 3. He then spent the first few years living with his Aunts in Laramie. When he was 15 he came to live with his Grandparents in Basin. The grandparents did not know where the kids were until they were teenagers at which time the Grandparents got to go to Laramie to reunite with their oldest Daughters children. That's when he learned how large of a family he had. He inherited 14 aunts and uncles with some being younger than him and he loved that idea. He soon became a huge part of the family. Duane was a real comedian and loved making people laugh with his jokes and pranks. His heart was as big as Wyoming and was always doing anything that was asked of him. He loved to wander around the state washing windows. He would show up to see family unexpectedly and it made no difference where you moved he would find you. He had a great love for family. He is survived by his Son Sam one sister Linda(Neal) Harp of Basin and one Brother Richard Mendoza of Las Vegas his and 4 Aunts Bessie of Michigan, Bonnie of Greybull Wy, Lela of Greybull and Flossie of Basin. He was preceded in death by his Mother Wanda Mae, his Father Richard Mendoza, His Grandparent Charles Presley and Flossie Presley, his Aunts and Uncles Buddy, Bobby, Austin, Delbert, Fred and recently Edwin His Aunts Dorthy, Sue, Jolene.
