Douglas Neil Lake

September 9, 1971 — May 29, 2021

Douglas Neil Lake was born on September 9, 1971 in Casper, Wyoming to Grover James Lake and Charlene Rose Huffman. Doug went home on May 29, 2021. Doug was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and dear friend to so many.

He graduated high school from Kelly Walsh High School in 1989 and a few years later married his first love Robin Seevers on August 30, 1995. Doug loved to travel the world, he also enjoyed being a father, grandfather, and he sure loved to cook.

If he were to be remembered for one thing, that would be his love for showing his family and friends all the wonders of life. Whether it be going to Mexico, going fishing, hunting, teaching you to cook, play a sport, or just down right showing you a good time, Doug was always there, ready to take you away! He loved his sports, his music, cooking, and his lady-killing Croc shoes. He also adored many cooking and travel shows.

Doug spent his younger adult years being a wonderful father, provider, and a loving husband. Regardless of what life would throw at him, Doug would always find a way to take care of his sick daughter, Kenda, and still happily provide for his family daily. Doug prided himself on a superior work ethic and, boy, was it on point. At this time, he worked for Lathrop's in sales and loved what he did for a living. As he got older, he changed careers and started his employment at Western Sling and Supply Co. Doug took a lot of pride in the many years of dedication he put into the company.

Doug began to travel as much as he could and spend precious hours with his grandchildren, taking them sledding, to play his iconic drum set, or to go buy Spongebob ice creams from Loaf N Jug. They kept him on his toes, and he loved showing them experiences.

Doug is proceeded in death by his grandmother, Georgia; father, Jim; stepfather, Pete; and his daughter, Kenda Rae.

Doug is survived by his mother, Charlenne (Tad); daughter, Brittany; son-in-law, Maurice; five grandchildren: Ray, Dayton, Jayce, Gabriel, and Londyn; brother, Charlie; sisters, Crystal (Bob) and Christina (Shaun); former spouse, Robin; his two little dogs, Bella and Rosa; and many more cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Doug will be missed dearly. "Cow Pie Dad" Till we see you again.
