DOUGLAS -- Funeral services for Glendo resident, Dorothy Louise Bettencourt, 75, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at Douglas Baptist Church.
She died on Aug. 9, 2008, at the Memorial Hospital of Converse County.
She was born on Sept. 14, 1932, in Butte, Mont., to John Asbury Johnson and Martha Agnes Lovell. She grew up in Packwood, Iowa, where she graduated from high school.
The family moved to Casper in 1956.
She moved to Douglas with her four children in 1974, where she worked at Broken Wheel Truck Stop for 23 years.
She enjoyed watching football and baseball, fishing and being with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Kathy Branum, and her husband of Glendo, Teri Bettencourt and Connie Bettencourt both of Douglas, Michael Bettencourt and his wife of Black River Falls, Wis.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Nina Adams of Casper, Harold Johnson and his wife of Wheatland, Howard Johnson and his wife of Pine Haven, James Johnson and his wife of Hot Springs, S.D.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother and sister and sister, Ruth Maser.
Newcomer Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
