Dorothy A. Andruss, age 82, passed away Tuesday evening, February 4, 2025 at Casper Mountain Rehabilitation, Casper, Wyoming. Dorothy was born October 28, 1942, the daughter of Colonel Everett Anderson and Anna (Wilson) Anderson. She grew up in McFarland Wisconsin, graduating from Monona Grove High School in 1961. Dorothy (Dode) met the love of her life, George Andruss of Madison Wisconsin in 1962, and they were united in marriage on September 12, 1964 in Madison, Wisconsin. Dorothy is survived by; one son, Donald (Tammera) Andruss of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; three daughters, Tammy (Mark) Heissner of Evansville, Wis., Anna (Russ) Clark of Casper, Wy., and Lisa Conaway of Footville, Wis.; 22 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild, and one of the best sisters, Iva Jean Seeley of Paragould, AR.
Dorothy was a longtime member of Jehovah’s Witnesses congregations in both Wisconsin and Wyoming, and was instrumental introducing her God, Jehovah to her children and extended family. Dorothy spent her career in the medical field helping others as a CNA, and in her spare time, doing chores on her farmette. She loved horses, birds, dogs and actually every animal, and of course the sound and the aroma of the country farm. A private family services will be held at a later date.
