Doris F. Faulhaber, 96 of Casper, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017 in Casper, Wyoming.
She was born on February 18, 1921 in Dix, Nebraska to Albert and Susanna Petersen. She attended Bryant Elementary School and graduated on May 19, 1939 from Scottsbluff High School. Doris married Orlin Earnest Faulhaber on December 21, 1940 in Kimball, Nebraska. During her working years she worked for Pacific Fruit and Produce Company from 1943 until 1946; Singer Sewing Machine Company from 1950 until 1957; and Wyoming Auto Company from 1960 until 1962 first as Bookkeeper then Office Manager. Doris is a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held numerous positions with the church over a 60 year span including, 10 years with the Stake Primary Board and 5 of those years serving as the Stake Primary President. Doris also served on the Stake Relief Society Board and also a Temple Worker.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Orlin; brother, Peter Petersen; sisters, Stella Pettit, Grace Petersen, Marcella Rezac, and Thelma Hager; 3 nephews; and a niece.
She is survived by her sisters, Pearl Lindsey of Casper, WY, Lois Ott of Roselle, IL, and Ruth Larson of Casper, WY; niece, Laura Hunsaker of Casper, WY and her children; and 21 additional very special nieces and nephews and their children; and her husband's family whom were also her family.
A Visitation will be held 12:00 PM until a Funeral Ceremony that will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, October 13, 2017, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2627 East 7th Street, Casper, Wyoming with Interment to follow 11:00 AM, Monday, October 16, 2017 at Oregon Trail State Veteran's Cemetery in Evansville, Wyoming.
