CASPER -- Funeral services for former Casper resident Donna J. Rhone, 47, will be held Saturday Dec.1, 2007 at 1 p.m., in the Newcomer Family Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow the graveside committal at 1027 Carriage Lane.
She died Nov. 20,2007 at her home in Laramie, surrounded by her family. Her death ended a long and very courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on May 12, 1959, in Worland, the daughter of Joe and Betty Bumpas.
She was a graduate of Worland High School in 1977.
She married Sonny Rhone on March 12, 1983 in Las Vegas, Nev. Soon after, they moved to Casper and lived there 22 years, and only recently moved to Laramie in January 2006.
She worked more than 16 years with JC Penney in Casper and made many friends while working there. She was very good at what she did, very personable and very hard-working. Anyone who ever worked with her loved her.
She loved gardening, cooking, and taking care of her family, including her animals. She loved being around family and friends and was always up for a good time. She loved traveling and taking vacations with her family.
She was a wonderful and supporting mother and wife. She was greatly loved by all of her family and friends; she will be greatly missed and forever loved by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband; two daughters, Amanda and Samantha; sisters, Janie Richardson and husband of Worland and Connie Lynch and her husband of Gillette; two nephews and two nieces and many, many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Betty Bumpas.
