Donn J. McCall, 71, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away on Christmas morning of 2020.
Donn was a gifted and sensitive person, devoted to his wife of 46 years, Anita, and to his daughter, Chelsea McCall, also of Casper. Donn was in the first graduating class of Kelly Walsh High School in 1967. He attended the University of Wyoming, Georgetown University, and graduated from the University Of Wyoming College Of Law in 1976.
His first job was as a legal clerk for the Chief Justice of the Wyoming Supreme Court in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Then he began private practice in Casper, Wyoming, with the firm Brown, Drew, Massey and Sullivan, where he stayed until his retirement.
While there, Donn developed a highly-successful corporate and banking practice, became a Fellow of the National Association of Mortgage Attorneys, and achieved the highest peer-reviewed legal honor attainable.
For over 20 years, Donn was actively involved in his community. Whether it was coaching a little league game, leading a United Way campaign, serving for 20 years on the local school board, or fighting to establish a state holiday in remembrance of the late Martin Luther King Jr., he gave it his all.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Nancy McCall; son, Brendan McCall; father, Richard McCall; and mother, Virginia McCall, all of Casper. He is survived by his wife Anita, daughter Chelsea of Casper, two brothers Dick McCall (Barbara), Falls Church, Virginia, and Mike McCall of Garden City, Kansas, and various precious nieces and nephews.
