Donald D. Brause
Donald D. Brause, 80, of Casper, passed away May 3, 2011.
He was born Aug. 26, 1930 in Rockford, IL, the son of Philip and Gladys Rowland Brause. He was a graduate of Casper College and The University of Wyoming where he received his petroleum engineering degree. Don was united in marriage to Marty Simon March 21, 1965 in Torrington, WY.
His employment career started in 1954 as a petroleum engineer and has been self-employed since 1976. He was a member of the Boyd Ave. Baptist Church and The Petroleum Club. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, football and Nascar Racing.
Survivors include his wife, Marty, a son, David, two step-sons, John and Steve, a step-daughter, Lynette and three daughters from a previous marriage, 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 10, 2011, 10:00 AM with Pastor Quin Williams and Pastor Ed Tharp officiating. Interment will follow in the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Donors choice. Arrangements under the direction of Newcomer Funeral Home.
