Dolores Ann (Dee) Dever, 90 years old, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming. She was born November 4, 1930, in Casper to Louis and Hazel McKenna.
On September 1, 1949, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Dee married John Patrick Dever, a wonderfully kind-hearted man whom she loved so much. Together, they raised three children: Mike, Gail and Pam. Dee and John spent much of their leisure time square dancing, playing bridge with friends, traveling to distant places, and sharing meals with friends and family. In later years, it was a surprise to go to their home and not find them at the dining room table playing what became their favorite game, Rummikub, and laughing as they made their moves. The love in their hearts for each other clearly shone through all they shared together!
Dee loved knitting and started the Carriage House Yarn Shop at Sunrise Mall in 1973. Her daughter Gail later joined her in this enterprise. After several years, Dee sold the shop in 1980 to have more time to spend with her grandchildren.
It would be difficult to find someone as passionate about her Catholic faith as Dee was. She was a daily attendee at Mass at St. Patrick Church, unless her health dictated otherwise. She loved our Blessed Mother and tried to pray all 20 decades of the rosary each day. And if any of her children or grandchildren needed prayer or had a question about their faith, they knew they could always come to her. She was very involved in Perpetual Adoration at St. Patrick's and coordinated this ministry for 30 years. She was a leader and member of one of the Divine Will cenacles in town, and she lived the Divine Will virtuously.
Dee is survived by her children: Michael Thomas Dever (Sharon), Gail Ellen Dever Enyert, and Pamela Diane Dever Bonse (Lee). Grandchildren include Sean Dever (Joy), Kristin Dever White (Brian), Brian Dever (Becky), Lauren Dever Freed (Dustin), Riley Enyert Kuhns (Bill), Raegan Enyert Chinn (Adam), John P Bonse, Katie Bonse, Tony Bonse, and Mary Bonse Hamilton (Nick). Great grandchildren are Jacob, Zack, Aiden, and Owen Chinn; Megan and Sarah White; Joseph, John, Olivia, Thomas, Eleanor, and twins Mary and Catherine Dever; Annabella Kuhns; Abigail and Emmelia Hamilton; and lastly twins Henry and Tillie Freed.
Dee is predeceased by her husband John, her son-in-law Richard Enyert, and her first grandson Ryan Enyert.
She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends from over the years.
