Delwin Keith Johnson passed away in his sleep on November 17, 2023, following a long battle with numerous illnesses. He was born on April 6th, 1961, in Casper Wyoming to Elmer Johnson and Deloris (Byer) Johnson. Delwin was the youngest of four children, this making him a little bit on the mischievous side. With three older siblings, what would you expect? His father gave him the nickname "Wile E. Coyote Super Genius." To his brother Elmer, he will always be known as little brother.
Delwin attended Natrona County High School. Due to unseen circumstances, he wouldn't graduate. Later in life, he was proud to have obtained his GED. Delwin lived most of his life in Casper, Wy.
Delwin and Donna Blake (Johnson) welcomed a son together, Jason M. Johnson. Delwin always considered Jason to be his greatest accomplishment (and he was right). He was thrilled when Jason began to grow his family. Being a grandfather was a whole new world for him, and it was a world he was excited to be in. He married Lynette Audiss, but they later divorced. Delwin retained a lifelong friendship with both of them.
Delwin was a jack of all trades, but he especially enjoyed being a roughneck. Some of the other jobs he loved doing were roofing and maintenance. Delwin loved fishing, hunting, his dogs (well, dogs in general), and his mother's pumpkin pie. One of his favorite memories included when he went hunting and shot through the floorboard of the car. The bullet hit the transmission causing the car to leak tranny fluid. A puddle of red fluid came out from the bottom of the car making it look like it was "bleeding." He will be greatly missed. He loved to tease his great nephew about having to explain football to him every year, while blanking out what his mother was saying as she explained the plays to him.
Delwin was preceded in death by grandparents, Harriet and Geogre Byer, Lee and Lottie Johnson, parents Elmer and Deloris Johnson, and his sister, Darla Stanko. Delwin is survived by his sister Ellen Bremner of Edmonton, brother Elmer Jonhson of Casper, Wy, Son Jason Johnson (Rachel), of Minneapolis Minnesota, six grandchildren, niece JeanAnn Stanko, great niece Mykenzie Coleman-Stanko, great nephew Ethan Stanko all of Casper, wy, Donna Blake, and Lynette Audiss. He will be greatly missed by all. We will never forget his humor and sense of adventure.
Services are planned for a later date.
