Delores Frances Thompson, 85, went to heaven to meet Jesus surrounded with love by her family and friends. Delores was born to Mr. and Mrs. Perry Fabley in Dactur, Illinois on July 6, 1931. She met and married the love of her life, Charles Thompson, and were married for 64 years before he had passed away. They had 4 children and were blessed with 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great grandkids.
Delores had a love for the Lord, but her family and friends were the light of he life. She was always someone you could depend on to offer a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, or a hug to give. Her laughter and spirit was sure to fill every room she was in.
After her husband had passed away Delores became a part of a widows support group, Widows of Faith. When she joined, her heart was touched beyond words. She was called their "Joy Bell".
She is survived by her son, Charles (Janis) Thompson Jr., of Clackamas, Oregon; Daughter, Cindy (Kenneth) Will, of Waco, Texas; Son, Sterling (Dawn) Thompson, of Casper, Wyoming; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and many other family and friends.
She is preceded in Death by her husband, Charles Thompson; Daughter, Sharon Selby; Sister, Marie Uhl; brother, Perry Fably; and her grandson, Steve Harkleroad.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to the Widows of Faith in Care of Restoration Church, 411 Walsh Drive, Casper, Wyoming, 82601.
A graveside service will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Wyoming Memorial Gardens.
