David Underbrink was the kid on the block who was the first to greet the new neighbors.
He played baseball and loved swimming. He always could make people laugh, a situational comedian before that was a thing.
He worked as a salesman in Casper, then moved to Florida where he tried to live on just sales commission, which didn’t pan out. He decided that since he had spent a fair amount of time in bars, that maybe he’d apply to be a bartender. It worked. He tended bar at a Kissimmee hotel. Then he worked as a waiter in an Indian restaurant. When once a client asked him, “Where are my lemons?!” he answered, “Now think, where did you last see them?”
When Dave moved back to Casper, he tended bar, and then worked as a convenience store clerk. He died after a losing struggle with alcohol addiction.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn (Spahn) Underbrink; his father, Lee Underbrink; and his sister, Laurel Walton. He is survived by his sister’s children: Savanna, Josh and Devin; as well as by his brother, Scott and Scott’s daughter, Elizabeth.
