David Dana Singer, 64, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at his home in Casper. He was born December 31, 1947 to Franklin and Mary (Barella) Singer.
Dana graduated from NCHS in 1966, and enlisted in the US Army September of that same year. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam, with the 9th Infantry--- "The Old Reliables." He often said his favorite sound was that of a helicopter, because it meant they were coming for them.
Dana gave his life to Jesus in 1985, and truly became a new man in Christ. His favorite quote from the Bible was Psalm 84:10, "For a day in your courts is better than a thousand outside. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the house of wickedness." Many of the people he attended church with remember him greeting them, and holding the door for them as they entered. One of his friends has said, "If you didn't know Dana was a Christian, then you never met him."
Dana was preceded in death by his father and mother, his sister Louise Delores Singer, and brothers Luke and Christopher Cody Singer. He is survived by his sister Mary Ella (Med) Singer Rush, and brother Joseph (Copy) Singer, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
