David L Rice, 61, passed away Sunday January 24, 2010 in Wyoming Memorial Hospital. He was born November 8, 1948 in Coal City, West Virginia to Robert and Dot Rice. In 1966 David joined US Army and was a Viet Nam combat vet. After discharge from the Army he married Brenda Billings in June 28, 1969. They had one daughter Sherry. David was a loving proud father and grandfather and Husband and there was never a dull moment when he was around.
David was a professional fisherman and won every tournament he entered in 2009. The thing he loved most was to be on the lake with his grandson Tanner. "He was the bestest grandpa in the whole wide world and the person he loved the most was his grandson Tanner". David was a lifetime member of NRA.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Brenda of Casper; daughter, Sherry Grose of Casper; grandson Tanner of Casper; 2 sisters, Jessie Derene Brown of West Virginia and Debbie Joan Gamble of Colorado; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no services at his request. David touched so many lives in so many ways, he will be missed but will go on living in our hearts and in our memories.
