David Diede

April 21, 1932 — January 3, 2012

David was born April 21, 1932 on a farm near Antelope, North Dakota. His parents Lydia and David Diede Sr. also had 2 daughters Myrtle and Marjorie. He attended rural schools until high school in Hebron ND.

He married Gloria Ann Kaufman June 2, 1952. They had 4 children, Douglas, Kathy, Joel and Colette. Dave farmed and ranched and owned a bar in Hebron from 1968-1978. He left North Dakota after a heart attack in 1981 and moved to Montana in 1982. He and Gloria Ann later divorced.

Dave operated a collection agency in the Eastern Montana area. During this period he met Janice McLeod and they married August 30, 1985. They moved to Wright WY, in 1986 and owned/operated the Wright Place restaurant. They sold out in 1994 and moved to Glenrock, WY. Dave drove for various trucking companies until 2004. He retired in 2004 because of ill health.
His parents, sister Myrtle Fiel (Reno NV) and Son Douglas Diede (North Dakota) precede him in death.

He leaves a daughter Kathy Greff of MI, a son Joel Diede of Hebron, ND, a daughter Colette Diede in the Virgin Islands and 2 stepdaughters, Dorthy Wood of Douglas, WY and Barbara Kari of Wright, WY, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a sister Marjorie Reich in Glen Ullin.

Dave was a terrific gardener and loved to share his produce with friends and family. He loved to dance, cook, watch football and visit with friends. He also enjoyed hunting and the outdoors.
