David Andrew Carrick, 77, of Casper Wyoming, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024, surrounded by family at the Banner Wyoming Medical Center.
David was born on June 23, 1946, in San Francisco, California. He graduated from Burney High School before enlisting in the United States Navy in June of 1967. He was assigned to the USS Oriskany where he received the National Defense Service Medal and the Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon. After serving, he became a lineman who enjoyed the challenge of using climbing spikes and gaffs. He would finish out his career working for Sinclair pipeline before a work injury. Throughout his life, David enjoyed martial arts, the outdoors, adventures and freedom.
He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his talent and love for art and beadwork, and above all his love for his family and friends.
He is survived by children, Jennifer Bynum and husband Eric (Parker, SD); Zeb Carrick (Casper, WY); Kalli Arriola (Casper, WY); Jake Carrick and wife Amber Carrick (Bath, PA); his grandchildren, Eva; Vida; and Penelope (Casper, WY); Rory; Trevor; and Dalton (SD); sisters, Melissa Kassahn and husband Scott; and Jan Bourhill and husband Ray.
David was preceded by parents Leonard and Bette Carrick.
Memorial Service will be held at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
