Longtime Casper resident, David Clifford Wolfe, age 87, passed away on April 18, 2014 following complications from a broken hip. David was born on April 6, 1927 to Clifford Wolfe and Louise BeVier Wolfe in Springfield, Missouri. The family moved to Casper in the mid 1940's to work at the Wigwam Bakery. On July 3, 1950, David married Rose Marie Tomlin and together they raised their two children and owned and operated Golden Business Machines for over 40 years. Prior to his ownership of GBM, David was a co-owner of a gas station with his brother-in-law, and a police officer with the Casper Police Department.
During his life, David enjoyed driving the roads of Wyoming both for his business and for pleasure. He enjoyed puttering around in his shop, spoiling the rescued animals that he and his wife took into their home, and telling a good story. He was proud of his service with the United States Marines and his time served on the Casper Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
He will be missed by his daughter Brenda Cisneros and husband Randy Walters of Fort Collins, Colorado; son, Michael Wolfe and wife Jennifer; grandchildren Michael (Christina), Alexandria, Aubreanna, and Christopher Wolfe of Casper, Isabel and Amalia Cisneros of Fort Collins; and sisters, Betty North of Casper, Wyoming and Bonnie Vigil of Aurora, Colorado.
His parents, his wife, Rose, and his brother, Donald Milton, preceded David in death.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with Newcomer Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Casper Humane Society.
