David A. Cashel, 69, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away on July 31, 2016 suddenly at home.
He was born in Eugene, Oregon on May 17, 1947 to William and Anna Cashel. Dave graduated from Natrona County High School in 1966. He married Donna Carter on January 14, 1967; they had a daughter, Jody Cashel in 1970.
He was with the Casper Police Department from 1969 to 1977, he then went on to work at Sinclair for over 25 years and then at Greiner Ford until his death.
He loved riding motorcycles with his friends around Wyoming and to Sturgis, SD. Dave also enjoyed driving in Stock Car Races in Casper for many years. He always owned a Corvette and a motorcycle.
In 2001 he married Marsha Overman and moved West of Casper.
Dave is survived by his wife, Marsha; daughter Jody (Shane) Mooney; stepson, Randy (Becky) Overman; stepdaughter, Shawna Aldridge of California; and brothers, Bill Cashel of Oregon and John Cashel of Oregon, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Anna Cashel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Casper Humane Society.
A Memorial Service for Dave will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home. Following the service, the family will have a Reception at Poor Boys Steakhouse in the Oak Room.
