CASPER -- Funeral services for Daniel L. Parke, 57, will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at Liberty Baptist Church in Casper with Pastor Bruce Sell officiating.Burial will take place at Wyoming Memorial Gardens. A viewing will take place from 1 to 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at Liberty Baptist Church.
He died Dec. 15, 2007, at his home in Casper.
He was born on Dec. 29, 1949, in Casper, the son of Fenton Ralph Parke and Dorothy Lee (Beckemeyer) Parke.
He graduated from Natrona County High School in 1968. While in high school was a member of the ROTC program. He attended Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Minnesota.
On August 12, 1989, he married Lois Tubbs and they made their home in Casper.
He worked most of his adult life in the fabrication of steel at various plants including 15 years at WOTCO in Casper.
He enjoyed exploring the electronics field and especially enjoyed creating memorabilia on his computer for others. He loved making his "Best Fruit Cake Ever" and numerous delicious candies at Christmas.
He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church where he served in the office of trustee for several years and ran the Church sound system.
He is survived by his wife, daughter, Sonia Rae Langford of Finlayson, Minn., step-daughters, Cherylynn Miller of Tooele, Utah, and Dorothy Walker of Mountain View; father, Fenton Ralph Parke, 13 grandchildren and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Fenton Edward Parke.
