Daniel L. Phegley, 65, of Casper, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014 at his home in Casper. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at the First Southern Baptist Church, 2555 East Second Street, Casper, WY. A reception will follow at the church hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family through the First Southern Baptist Church in Daniel's name.
Danny was born on June 14, 1949 in Casper, WY. He graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in 1969. He met Cindy in 1996 and they were married on March 17, 1998. From that union he gladly inherited Cindy's 5 children and 5 grandchildren. He was very involved in the Big Brother's Association and a longtime member of the NRA. He was a passionate drummer that could jump in and play with anybody. Danny's passions in life were hunting, fishing, camping, music, hiking, and barbecue's with family and friends. He will be remembered as being an avid animal lover, caring husband and loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Dow and Velda Jean Phegley; and sister, Cindy S. Kincaid. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Phegley; brothers, Gary Phegley of Evansville, and Bobby (Carol) Phegley of Casper; children, Denise (Rich) Steffens of Casper, Erica (Kevin) Rowland of Torrington, Lyle Mead of Omaha, Jeremy (Tiffany) Swaim of Casper, and Jason (Anna) Swaim of Evansville; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous loved nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends and relatives.
