Dale Eugene Perry
Services for Dale Eugene Perry, 77, of Casper will be Wednesday, 01-03-2007, 02:00 PM at Newcomer Family Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Michael Pollack.
He passed away peacefully on died 12-25-2006 with his family at his side, at Poplar Living Center after a brief illness.
He was born 01-12-1929 in Casper, Wyoming to Arthur and Sara (McDowell) Perry.
He was raised in Casper and went to Jefferson Elementary and graduated from Natrona County High School in 1947. He delivered Tribune newspapers from 7th grade on to earn money for his education and entertainment. He attended Casper College and graduated from the University of Wyoming (BA) in 1951.
He was inducted into the Army in September 1951, and proudly served his country in Korea. He received the Korean Service Medal, With 2 Bronze service stars, and a United Nations Service Medal.
He married Rosemary Bryant on November 5, 1954, at the First Presbyterian Church in Casper. They had 3 children.
He began his career with the Coliseum Motor Company upon his return from Korea. He worked his way up from salesman to owner at the time of his semi-retirement. He saw them expand thru the years and move to two new buildings.
He was a faithful member of the Kiwanis Club of Casper for 41 years, and could be seen ringing Salvation Army bells at Christmas, and passing out winter gear at the Coats for Kids drive every year. He was a fixture at the annual Kiwanis Pancake breakfast and many can attest to "buying" tickets from him.
He loved to travel the world with family and friends, and visited many countries over the years. He would stay in hotels, hostels, and bed and breakfasts. He boasted of sneaking across the border into China once, then went back legally at least 2 other times
He is survived by his wife Rosemary , daughter Debbie Taylor, son Kent Perry and wife, Debra, all of Casper, and son Mark Perry, and wife Sue, of Surprise, AZ. A brother Keith Perry, of Overland, KS. and 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Donald Perry and his wife, a nephew and a beloved grandson, Casey Taylor.
