Curtis L. Harden, 63, of Casper, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2009 at the Wyoming Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 19, 1945 in Chicago, IL, the son of Curtis L. and Esther V. Dearing Harden Sr. Curtis was a graduate of Natrona County High School in 1964 and then attended Casper College. He was united in marriage to the former Carol Ramsey Dec. 17, 1967 in Casper. He was employed by the Casper Police Dept. in 1971 and then taught at the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy from 1979 to 1980. In 1980, he became the Director of Security for True Oil Companies until his retirement in 2004. He served from 1966 to 1972 in the Army Reserve. He loved to fish, hunt and go four-wheeling. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife Carol of Casper; son Ryan Harden of Casper; daughter, Ashley Buchanan and husband Ed of Casper; Brother, William Harden of Casper; sister Sue Harden of Casper; 3 grandchildren, Patrick Garnhart, Hallie Garnhart and Dante Buchanan. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Nicole Garnhart.
Memorial services will be Tuesday May 5 at 11 AM at Our Savior Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels or the Casper Humane Society. Arrangements under the direction of Newcomer Funeral Home.
