Clayton Dale “CR” Romfo, 75, passed away May 18, 2024 at his home from a short battle of cancer. He was born in Langdon, North Dakota, September 15,1948 to parents Orvin Romfo & Nora (Jore) Romfo. He married Karen Lee Williams on August 5, 1969 in Neche, N.D.
He graduated from high school in Walhalla, North Dakota went on to receive a degree in education from UND in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He taught Junior High Physical Education for 5 year in Grand Forks, ND before heading to Casper Wyoming. He also served in the National Guard for 6 years. CR went into construction and built his own Company, Phase I Construction, with his 4-legged foreman, Grinch, and worked until 2022 in which him and his son (Chris) closed the doors.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed camping and fishing with his wife and friends. CR loved to play pool on leagues, throw darts, and later in his life he loved to play Golden T Golf.
He is survived by his spouse Karen Romfo; daughter, Melissa Sue Nowicki (Brian Scott); son, Christopher Dale Romfo; and two lovely granddaughters, Katie Elizabeth Nowicki and Izabel Elizabeth Ann Romfo all of Casper. He has one sister, Carol Jourgenson; and many in-laws, Patty Dick; Zona Kihne (Russ); Ron Williams (Shirley); Linda Williams; Mark Williams (Vicki); Lori Lagerquist (Ray); Lois Soland (Paul); Lisa Mastvelton (Dan Mehlhoff); Scott Williams (Taylor); Leona Williams; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his lovely daughter-in-law Brandilyn Romfo: brothers-in-law, Earl Dick; Gary Jourgenson; and Rick Williams.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes that donations be made to Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions, 319 South Wilson Street, Casper, WY 82601.
The family will have a celebration on life on June 8th 12:00 to 3:00 at Oil City Beer Company at 4155 Legion Lane, Casper, WY, 82609.
