Chuck Leroy Price, 69, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away October 15, 2016. He was born in Vancouver Washington, December 10, 1946, the son of J.B. (Tex) and Bonnie Price, and loved as a son by Rex and Louise Gates.
Chuck graduated from Glenrock High School in 1965, and received a degree in accounting from Casper College. He served in the U.S. army from 1967-1970, stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War.
Chuck married Karen Gates in 1966, and they lived in Casper, WY where both their daughters were born. They later divorced. Chuck spent his last 25 years with his friend and constant companion, Judy Thomas.
Over the span of his life, he put his talents to work in many different occupations including his teen years at a Texaco station, real estate sales and broker, liquor store manager spending over 30 years at Galles Liquor Mart, and most recently employed as an associate broker with United Country Plains Real Estate, and working with his daughters and grandson at Casper Horse Palace.
Chuck enjoyed many different pastimes including restoring antique classic cars, watching Nascar, his corvette collection, fishing, and spending many hours socializing with his many friends. He was an avid pool player for over 50 years, belonging to several different leagues, and owned a national league locally. Considered by many as the "go to guy" for any and all things wine, Chuck enjoyed sharing and drinking his vast knowledge.
Chuck is survived by his companion Judy, children Lori Percival and companion Spike Smith, Coni O'Brien and husband Mike. Grandchildren Colton Dutton, Kylie, Adelynn and Talia O'Brien. His cats Black and Mom Cat. He was truly loved as a father by his niece and nephew Angie and Rex, and his great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Madison O'Brien.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home Casper Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Glenrock Cemetery in Glenrock, Wyoming. A Reception will follow services at the VFW Memorial Post 9439, 1800 Bryan Stock Trail, Casper.
