Christopher Charles Burns, Bernie, 49, of Casper Wyoming joined our Heavenly Father on August 19, 2020 after bravely and courageously battling a hemorrhagic stroke.
Chris was born on January 11, 1971 in Dearborn, Michigan to Timothy and Marlene Burns. He was the youngest of his two siblings, his brother, Randall Marvin Valentin and his sister, Jacquelyn Louise Burns (Bailey). At the age of 8, Chris and his family moved to Glenrock, Wyoming where he attended elementary school. In 1990, Chris got his General Education Diploma from Casper College in Casper, Wyoming.
Shortly after, on November 24, 1993, Chris was blessed with the birth of his first and only child, Alexis Sue Burns, who was his true pride and joy. Chris loved her more than life itself.
During the fall of 1994 and the spring of 1995, Chris became a member of The President's Honor Roll while in attendance at Casper College, where, in May of 1995, Chris completed the Machine Tool Technology Program. He then went on to fabricate fire trucks for the Casper Fire Department at Becker Fire and America La France. During his employment at Becker Fire, Chris was flown to Wisconsin where he received recognition and a magazine feature for his fire truck fabrications. In 2007, Chris began working for Fabtech, and after eight years of employment as a Shop No. One Lead and as an extremely accomplished fabricator, Chris founded Rocky Mountain Metal Works of Casper in 2015 and lived his dream creating customized metal fabrications.
Chris held respect in high regard toward everyone he encountered. He was entirely and unquestionably selfless, generous and loved wholeheartedly. Chris' best companion of fourteen years was his Yellow Labrador, L.B. (Little Bear) who he loved greatly. From his teenage years and into adulthood, Chris rocked out to Metallica and would thrash in tempo on the drums. He participated in throwing darts at tournaments and he felt serenity while cruising the highways on his motorcycle. Chris was known for his humor and quick wit. He would effortlessly fill every room with laughter. There was never a dull moment when he was around and we'll undoubtedly be sharing his countless jokes for decades to come.
Chris is survived by his mother and father, Marlene and Timothy Burns, his daughter, Alexis (Lexi) Burns, his brother Randall Valentin, his sister, Jacquelyn (Jackie) Burns Bailey and her husband Patrick (Pat) Bailey, his niece, Angela (Angie) De Vore and his nephew, Sean De Vore.
