Krysa "Christine" Helen Puzella, 76, of Hamtramck, Michigan, passed away in Casper, Tuesday, April 16th, 2024.
Chris was born to the late Josephine & Stanislaw Sternicki in Osnabrück, Germany on December 5th, 1947. Her family immigrated to the United States in 1950. Chris became a naturalized citizen in the early 1970's. Chris was raised in the Detroit area. Chris graduated from Walsh College in Troy, MI with a bachelor degree in accounting.
Chris would often be found lost in a book and would be thrilled to spend time in bookstores or libraries. Her love of books led to Chris being an avid book collector. Chris' favorite books were non-fiction with a focus on WWII. Anyone who knew Chris knew she loved ice cream and peanut m&m's. Chris would often tease people who didn't bring her either sweet treat.
Chris is survived by her five children: John, his wife Kathy; their 2 children: Amanda & Bobby and 3 grandchildren (Almont, MI), Veronica Grooms, her husband Brian; their 3 children: Brandon, Jared and Robert and 6 grandchildren (Utica, MI); Bill, his wife Jennifer; their 2 children: Ryann and Anthony (Mt. Clemens, MI); Michael, his wife Dena; their 4 children: Elijah, Kaiden, Tripp, and Krysianna (Casper, WY), and Tim, his husband Justin (Detroit, MI). Chris is also survived by her brother John and his wife Bedelia, her brother Chet, his wife Mary, and several nieces and nephews. Chris is preceded in death by her brother Pete and her parents.
Services will be held in Casper, Wyoming on Tuesday, April 30th at Hope Church, 620 South Walnut at 6:30 pm with an ice cream bar to follow and a service in Michigan, Wednesday, June 19th at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Road, Clinton Twp, MI at 2 pm with a luncheon to follow.
