Chris Santistevan, 65, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024 peacefully at his home. Chris was born on April 14, 1959 in Casper, Wyoming, to Alfredo Santistevan and Donna (Grubtill) Santistevan. He enjoyed fishing with his father and brother during his younger childhood. Chris attended schools in Casper and graduated from Natrona County High School. Chris met the love of his life, Elsa, and they were married for 34 years.
Chris loved dancing, music, singing, making people laugh, creating things with his hands. Chris was a big fan of cars. He enjoyed taking Sunday trips with his wife and nieces to Pamida in Douglas and Chilli's in Cheyenne. He loved his many nieces and nephews endlessly. He spent many weekends camping at Alcova Lake and at Thermopolis with his family where they would camp and enjoy the Hot Springs.
He enjoyed doing yard work. His favorite food was pizza.
He played basketball and little league baseball in his younger age and was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies.
He worked the majority of his life in the two-family businesses namely Santistevan Construction and Majestic Marble of Wyoming. He had the heart of a giant. He never complained about his health issues.
Chris is survived by his wife, Elsa, and brother, Fred (Jolaine) Santistevan, sister, Kathleen (Ron) Jackson, and sister, Carla Santistevan, fur baby, Chocolate, and several nieces and nephews.
Chris is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Billie Jo (Chip) King, and Joy Lee Santistevan, grandparents, and fur baby, LeRoy.
A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 4pm until 6pm. A funeral service will be held Wednesday May 29, 2024 at 1:30 pm at Newcomer with graveside services following at Highland Cemetery.
