Charlie Lynn Wallace

August 21, 1952 — September 5, 2022

WALLACE, Charlie Lynn, (Lynn for short) and "Good Time Charlie" to his friends.

Resident of Casper, Wyoming, formerly of Henderson Texas, has departed from this Earth to join his beloved wife, Linda Renee Wallace, in riding Harleys on the Highways of Heaven on Tuesday, September 5, 2022, at the young-hearted age of 70.

Charlie was born to Chester and Mertie Wallace on August 21, 1952, at Henderson Memorial Hospital at 4:24 a.m., and awaiting his arrival was his two older sisters, Peggy, and Billie Jean. Later, he would discover that he was the only male seed to sprout in his household as he was blessed with his younger sister, Donna.

Growing up, Charlie was a huge fan of football and baseball and for his senior year, he got to pick his jersey number…Classic Charlie, of course, chose the number 69. Charlie also had a love for fast cars (specifically Fords), motorcycles (specifically Harley Davidson) and a variety of music and throughout life, he was bestowed many nephews that he also shared his time with enjoyably. As he got older, Charlie attended college first at the University of Arkansas, where he became a member of a now banned fraternity, Acacia. He also attended Kilgore College, and Stephen F. Austin State University of Nacogdoches for accounting. However, he overall chose a career in construction over accounting because he loved working outdoors and the office setting was not right for him. He eventually developed a passionate love for concrete and continued his career in that.

On February 18, 1975, Charlie finally got to marry the love of his life, Linda Renee Wallace. With this marriage he gained a son, Corby Lee Gipson and on August 3, 1976, had a daughter, Tiffany Nicole Wallace. In February of 1998, Charlie, and his loving wife, ventured North for work, where they made a home in the mediocre-size town of Casper, Wyoming. There they thrived, building a life, and was soon followed by their daughter and the family she would eventually make. He spent the last 19 years serving as a mentor for his granddaughter, Jeannie Renee Sanders, or as Charlie called her J.R. He taught her charisma that only he was mastered in, to have faith in the unfathomable, the freedom of, and the knowledge of how to ride a Harley, the enriching satisfaction of planting a well maintained garden and the fruitful harvest gained from it; he taught her how to take Jack Daniels shots like a champion and how to always be strong and believe in herself no matter what; but most of all, he taught her the unconditional love of a grandfather. And as such, she was not the only person he touched and taught his lessons to, Charlie has left a mark on everyone he ever met, he always brought smiles and laughs and always made everyone feel like they had someone who loved them.

Survived by his daughter Tiffany Sanders, her husband Tim Sanders, their daughter, and Charlie's granddaughter Jeannie (J.R.) Sanders; his son Corby Gipson and his wife Kathy, their son Dalton Gipson (Charlie's grandson) along with his family Emilee and Westin Gipson (Charlie's great-grandson), their daughter Shelby Gipson (Charlie's granddaughter) and her daughter Adalynn Renee Bobbitt (Charlie's great-granddaughter); his youngest sister Donna; his numerous, loved, nephews and their families, and alongside all the lives he touched while journeying through his own, Charlie's legacy; His footprint; His memory; Will live on forever.
