A memorial service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
Charles Robert (Bob) White passed away in his home on April 22, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. Bob, 89, was born in Casper on January 12, 1923. Bob served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946. After graduating from the University of Nebraska he began his career as a Chemical Engineer at the Mobil refinery in Casper. He later went to work for Exxon and retired from there in 1978.
Bob enjoyed fly fishing, working on various projects around his house, playing bridge and playing his clarinet. He played in the Casper City band for over 30 years and volunteered in his community by delivering Meals on Wheels for 19 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy White, and his parents Orrille and George White of Casper.
He is survived by his daugher, Cindy Brown and her husband, Cory Brown and his two grandsons, Stephen and Cameron Brown.
