Charles David Marsh, 80, of Casper passed away Sunday, April 15th at the Wyoming Medical Center.
Chuck was born January 17, 1932 in Casper, the son of George D. and Althea (Johnson) Marsh. He attended schools in Casper, Sheridan, Wyoming and San Francisco, Calif., graduating from Natrona County High School with class of 1950. He served in the U.S. Navy from December 20, 1950 till November 1954. Chuck then returned to Casper College, graduating with and an A.A degree in accounting. He attended Denver University and the University of Wyoming for a short while returning to Casper to take up residence.
On July 1, 1961, he married Hope Israelson of Lockport, IL., at St. Anthony's in Casper.
After returning from school, Chuck was employed by American Pipe and Supply C.O., and Bochmann Realty. He then worked in sales and customer service for Prairie Publishing Co., until its closing in 1994. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and his family home with friends. He was Past Exalted Ruler of the Casper Elks Lodge 1353 and also coached Harry Yesness little league team in the early 1970's. He was a member of the Board of Trustees for the Montgomery Trust Fund for the visually impaired.
He is survived by his wife, Hope, their daughter Kim (Clark) Wawers of Danville Pa., and their son Ted (Kristi) Marsh of North Easton Mass., 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. He is survived by two sisters of Casper, Norene Brauer and Marley Kelly and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 A.M. Friday April 20th 2012 at Our Lady Fatima Catholic Church, Casper, WY. with Rev. Robert Fox officiating. Inurnment will be in Wyoming Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Veteran's services provided by Natrona County Veterans Services and Wyoming National Guard.
