Charles William "Chuck" Chaney, 85 of Casper, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013 at Shepard of the Valley Care Center.
Cremation has taken place and at Chucks request no services will be held.
Chuck was born in Casper June 26, 1927 to Charles Edward Chaney and Minnie Pearl (McFarland) Chaney.
He graduated from Natrona County High School in 1946.
He attended Barber College in San Francisco in 1952. He was discharged from the Marine Corps in 1945. He then joined the National Guard from 1948 to 1950.
He was a barber in Casper most of his life. He started with his dad in North Casper and then barbered at the Rialto Barber Shop for several years. He then moved to the Gladstone Motel until he started his own shop in the old Ramada Hotel.
Chuck married Donna Marie (Woodcock) July 22, 1944 in Denver, Colorado.
He owned Casper Athletic and Health Studio with his brother Vaughn. He then owned the Atlantic City Mercantile Steak House from 1977 to 1979.
Chuck loved to fish, hunt, snowmobile and Four wheeling.
He was preceded in death by his wife Donna. His parents. Siblings, Violet (Bates) Chaney, Vaughn O Chaney and Clarence Chester Chaney.
Chuck is survived by his children; John and wife Liddy, Judy and Husband Stan Goodwin, Paula and (Ron Schow) Chaney and Ron and wife Shirley Chaney. There are also several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
He will be very missed by his family and friends.
