CASPER -- A gathering for family and friends of Charles "Chuck" Carnline, 69, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at Newcomer Family Funeral Home. Military honors will be accorded by the Wyoming Army National Guard and the Natrona County United Veterans Council.
He died Dec. 4, 2007, at home.
He was born April 15, 1938, in Thomasville, Ga., the son of James Carnline and Mary E. Watson.
He graduated from 8th grade and started driving truck at the age of 13.
At age 23, he married Leona Breen in Hardin, Mont. Soon thereafter, he served in the Army.
After six years in the service, he returned home to his already growing family.
He held many odd jobs until he and his brother formed Carnline Trucking Co. in Roundup, Mont.
In 1978, he and his family moved to Hathaway, Mont.
He then found employment and friendship at E.H. Oftedal & Sons in Miles City, Mont., later moving to Casper with the company and hauled heavy equipment for them until 2002.
He never knew a stranger and will be missed by the many lives he touched.
Survivors include his wife, daughters, Sandy Carnline, Billings, Mont., Tina Easley, Casper; Rhashell Johnson, Casper and Kristy Mendenhall, Miles City, Mont.; a son, Russell Carnline, Laurel, Mont.; a brother, Douglas Carnline of Arizona; 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Cindy Carnline; brothers, Bob "Joe"Carnline, Jim Carnline, J.C. Carnline and
Albert Carnline.

Newcomer Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
