Charlene Hattan Kopplin passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Wyoming Medical Center with her husband and sister-in-law, Shirley (Kopplin) Gazdik, at her side.
She was born in Atchison, Kansas on March 28, 1959 to Wanda Jean (Riley) and Louis Hattan.
She graduated from Poudre High School in Fort Collins, CO in 1977. Then she moved to Casper, WY where she worked at K-Mart, Gibsons Store, and Wyoming Medical Center. Then in 2002, on Computer.com she met her future husband and love of her life, LeRoy Kopplin. They married on September 20, 2003 at Grace Lutheran Church. She was baptized into the Christian Faith and continued her walk as a Christian with LeRoy as a Sunday School Teacher, Usher, Worship Assistant, and working on the Altar Guild at Grace Lutheran Church. Charlene enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, bowling, making fruit jam from the trees in their yard, sewing blankets as gifts for family and friends. But her first love was writing poetry about people she had met as she walked with Christ in her life.
Charlene is preceded in death by her father, Louis Hattan.
Charlene is survived by her husband, LeRoy, and his son, Todd and her mother, Wanda Hattan of Loveland, CO. Twin sister, Arlene Bloom (Kirk) of Thousand Oaks, CA. Sister, Jennifer (Hattan) Hodkinson (Derrick) of Westminster, CO. Brother, Ron Hattan of Loveland, CO. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Shirley Gazdik (Chuck), nieces and 1 nephew.
