Carol "Ann" Rebish, age 73, of Casper, passed away July 1, 2019 at Central Wyoming Hospice. Ann was born March 31, 1946 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Glen and Dorothy (Noxon) Fickes. She was raised in Buffalo, WY where she was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Ann graduated from Johnson County High School in Buffalo and attended junior college in Casper, WY. Ann had the opportunity to go to Wickenburg, AZ where she was a youth counselor at Los Caballeros. From there she moved to Dillon, MT where she raised her two boys, Tyke and Tyler. Here she was surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wide open spaces which she loved. After moving to Casper, Ann worked for Wyoming Medical Center and Interim Health Care. After retirement, she and her sister wintered in AZ where she enjoyed the warmth, the scenery, and good times with friends.
Cooking was a specialty of Ann's. Family and friends loved to sit down at her table. Ann will be remembered for her subtle sense of humor and keeping her family and friends on their toes. She also enjoyed crafting, reading and especially time spent at the family cabin in the Big Horn Mountains where she traveled old trails and was able to go fishing. Over the years, her two Yorkies, Kibbles and Max, were always at her side.
In addition to her parents, Ann was also preceded in death by her son, Tyke Rebish. She is survived by her sister, Sherry; Son, Tyler; Step-Daughters, Francie and Bonnie; granddaughter, Kaidyn; and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Ann's Life and Potluck will be held from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM at the Fickes' Cabin on Sunday, September 8, 2019.
