Carol Jean Dyer

Carol Jean (Winder) Dyer of Evansville, WY left us on Monday, November 20, 2023, after a lingering illness. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ronald "Pete" L. Dyer, and brother Walter and his wife Rose Winder. A celebration of life will be held at Newcomers Chapel in her honor on Wednesday, December 6th, 2023, at 3:00pm. Carol was proceeded in death by her father Francis Winder, mother Dixie (Babb) Winder, and older brother Bernard Henry Winder.

Carol was born December 22, 1949, in North Platte, Nebraska. She grew up on a working ranch outside of Author, Nebraska. She attended and graduated Author High School. Carol worked the ranch for many years before meeting Pete Dyer. The two were wed on July 17, 1976, in Kansas. The couple were avid skiers and had an appreciation for motorcycles. Carol's careers included welding and bookkeeping for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her many nieces and nephews and was known to have pretend tea with her nieces. Carol was also passionate about her puppies Charlie, Shorty and Savannah. She also enjoyed gardening in the greenhouse the couple built together.

Carol is also survived by many family members including Tom & Sandy Dyer, Daniel Dyer, Deb & Toby Peter, Peggy & Terry Bennett. As well as many nieces & nephews: Jeannie Gorreman/family, Greg Winder/family, Allen Winder/family, Robin Winder/family, Stephan Dyer/family, Seth Dyer/family, Shawna Mead/family, Shelly & Sean McAlpin/family, Sarah & JR Wallace/family, Travis Peter/family, Stephanie Doherty, Jessie & Phil Tayler/family, Zack Doherty, 24 grandnieces/nephews, 9 great grandnieces/nephews.
