Carma passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, Sept. 25, 2006. Born June 4, 1915 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, she was the youngest daughter of Charles and Theresa Huss. She grew up on the family farm, graduated from Grand Rapids High School, and attended college in Minneapolis, MN.
On Dec. 28, 1938 she married the love of her life, Kenneth L. Ball, whereupon in the midst of the great depression, they crossed the Country many times selling photographic portraits. When finally reaching Casper, Wyoming, they fell in love with the area and built their home and business, where they worked side-by-side for 30 years. Their photography work, which to this day lives on in many homes and memories of early Casper, touched the lives of many. They were active in many organizations such as The Professional Photographers of America, Elks, and the Catholic Church where Carma volunteered for many years at St. Anthony's Manor. Carma's great love of life blessed her with many friends and grandchildren. She was kind and generous to a fault.
Carma was proceeded in death by her husband of 50 years, Kenneth Ball, and her parents. Survivors include her three sons: Ken Ball and David Ball of Casper, and Danny Ball of Lander, and their families.
Memorials may be made to The Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions Program.
