C.R. Jackson went to his heavenly rest on March 28, 2013. Born in Pueblo CO to C.B. and Myra Jackson, Dick was raised and educated in the Midwest before joining the Air Force. While stationed at Eglin Field, FL., Dick met Mary Markle, whom he married in a 1953 ceremony in Denver. After receiving honorable discharges, the Jackson's moved to Casper where their daughter, Cheryl was born. Dick worked for his father before getting hired at First National Bank; there he rose in the "ranks" to loan officer, before moving to South Dakota where he worked in banking as well. The Jacksons moved back to Wyoming where Dick had worked for several employers before illness forced his retirement. CR was active in Jaycees, Kiwanis, Masons as well as being an active member of the T-Bird Boosters and the Order of Eastern Star serving as Worthy Patron of Fort Casper Chapter #4 and Custer #24 in Custer SD.
Dick is survived by his daughter, son-in-law Lonnie Fisher, sister-in-law Alice Hale, grand children Cathleen Stepp, Patrick Stepp, Ryan Stepp, Erin Stepp, and great grandchildren Matthew Stepp, and Kaidance Rose Schnepper. Dick was preceded in death by his wife Mary, parents, a sister Kathleen Jackson, granddaughter Kelli Lynne Stepp, and in-laws Lloyd F. and Mary Markle and brother-in-law Lloyd Markle.
Newcomer Funeral home is in charge of the arrangements. Military honors and Masonic Rites will be conducted at Wyoming Memorial Gardens. Memorials can be made to the Scottish Rite Language Clinics, Shrine Children's Hospitals, or Shrine Travel Fund.
