Carl Benjamin Glover, 81, of Casper, WY, passed away June 18, 2014 after a long illness.
He was born June 8, 1933, the son of Cecil and Dora Glover, in Leadville, CO. He graduated from Leadville High School in 1951 and served in the US Army from 1955 until 1957, followed by service in the reserves until 1963. Carl married Billie Irene Roach on June 15, 1957. With their family, they relocated to Billings, MT in 1968 where Carl pursued a 25 year career with the Exxon Refinery, retiring in 1993. Spending much of his boyhood on the family homestead, Carl loved the mountains and enjoyed hunting with his father, sons, and friends. He was also the family storyteller and enjoyed reading, writing, and volunteering in the Cursillo movement in Billings.
Carl is survived by his wife Billie, a daughter Diane, two sons Danny (Alice) and Jim (Sue), and a sister Janet (Arnold), along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Steven, and a grandson and granddaughter.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be Saturday, July 5th, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church, 2800 4th Avenue North, in Billings, MT.
