Calvin Curtis

June 28, 1949 — April 4, 2013

Calvin Curtis, 63, of Casper died April 4, 2013 in his home. He was born June 28, 1949 in Oakland, CA to Clifford and Edith Curtis.

Calvin grew up in Hollywood, California. Shortly after graduating from high school he joined the United States Marine Corp and fought in the Vietnam War. After his time spent in the Marine Corp, Calvin attended San Jose State University where he majored in film. Calvin then moved to Casper, Wyoming around 1990 to be closer to his two daughters, whom he was undeniably devoted to. He spent his years in Casper writing books and screenplays. He had hopes of becoming a published author someday. Calvin was a simple man, but appreciated the underlying beauty in everything and everyone. He will be forever missed and loved, and will be held in our hearts today and every other day.

He was preceded in death by both his parents. He is survived by his daughters Bonnie Curtis-Odell and Willow Curtis of Casper; and brother, Chris Curtis of Chico, CA.

Funeral Service will be held at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery Chapel on April, 19th 2013 at 2:00pm. Shortly following the time of the service, a head stone will be located out at Oregon Trails Veterans Cemetery.
