Cal Anthony "Bubba" Kaul

Cal Anthony Kaul, 24, of Casper, Wyoming passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 in Fort Campbell, Kentucky while on active duty. Cal, lovingly referred to as "Bubba" by his family and friends, was born June 13, 1996 to Tony and Yvette. Cal graduated from Natrona County High School, class of 2013. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army.

In 2014, Cal married Torrie Rollins and together they have two children, Jax Tony and Braxley Hope.

After completing basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia, Cal was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and completed training in JRTC, NTC, and Air assault. Military achievements include squad designated marksman, vehicle commander, and awarded medals, including marksmanship. He later moved to Fort Carson, Colorado, where he became a team leader and conducted two rotations at the national training center in Fort Irwin, California.

In 2018, as team/squad leader, Cal was deployed to Afghanistan and Djibouti, where he continued to lead and protect his men beside and under him.

Cal was a real grease monkey, who enjoyed working on his truck and his Harleys. He was 140 lbs. of pure fury, a true master of his craft, a lover of 80's rock trapped in the wrong generation, and wise beyond his years. When possible, he enjoyed the outdoors - camping, hunting, and fishing - and spending time with his family and buddies. Cal had a love for his country and proudly served 101st Airborne, A company, 1-26 Infantry, 2nd Brigade Combat Team. Cal touched many people's lives with his humor, smile, and kindness, leaving an everlasting impression on many.

Cal is survived by his beautiful wife, Torrie Kaul, precious son, Jax Kaul, and gorgeous daughter, Braxley Kaul; his mother, Yvette (Michael) Dwyer, and his father, Tony Kaul; one sister, Tyamiekea (Aubrey) Gonzalez; maternal grandparents, Chuck and Linda Booth; paternal grandmother, Stephanie "Nana" Kaul; one aunt, Jennifer (Michael) Wolfe; three uncles, Sam Kaul, Michael Kaul, and Charles Booth; one nephew, Westen; and several great aunts, uncles, and cousins. Cal is also survived by his Army buddies and family.

Cal is preceded in death by son Scott Freeman Kaul (2016), his paternal grandfather Tony "Papa" Kaul (2012), and numerous great grandparents.
