Casper, Wyoming - Branson William "Bunt" Lattea, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 6, 2015, at the Poplar Living Center in Casper, WY.
Born November 21, 1926 in Industrial, West Virginia, he was the son of James Earl Lattea and Daisy Ray Lattea.
After serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, he married Marie Grace on March 6, 1951. They traveled west until they reached Wyoming, where they made their home in Casper for the remainder of their lives. Marie died on June 3, 2005.
Branson enjoyed camping and hunting and often invited his brothers to elk and moose hunt in the Grand Teton. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Casper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and by four brothers, Leo Thurman Lattea, Edward Lattea, Burlin Earl Lattea, and Virgil Jennings Lattea; and by three sisters, Alice Virginia Davis, Kathleen Burns, and Eileen Pettit. He is survived by one brother, Edmond Lattea, of Salem, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted in Casper, and he will be buried at Oregon Trail State Veteran's Cemetery, beside his wife, Marie, at 2:00 PM Wednesday August 12, 2015.
