He raised his two sons in Alaska, teaching them the finer art of fishing, which is what he would often do in their spare time.
Bob met his wife Patricia McLean, while stationed in Germany. Pat worked in Special services. They were married in Presidio, California, on April 30th, 1960.
He is survived by his brother Billy Bonner, his two sons; Scott and Paul, and his wife of 53 years; Pat.
Bob will be cremated and his remains will be taken, as per his wishes, by his sons to be dispersed into the Kenai River in Soldotna, Alaska, one of his favorite places to fish.
