Bobbi Young, 67, of Evansville, passed away Aug. 1, 2009 at the Wyoming Medical Center.
She was born July 4, 1942 in Huron, South Dakota, the daughter of James and Hilda Hansen Robbins. She was united in marriage to George H. Young June 2, 1972 in Las Vegas, Nevad and he preceded her in death Oct. 1, 1990. She was an over the road truck driver with her husband until 1990. She most recently worked at War Surplus for Helen Hancock. Mrs. Young cared deeply for her family and her passion was for horses. She and her daughter coordinated a ten mile trail ride annually for the past six years raising in excess of $14,500 to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Survivors include her daughters' Lona Patton and her husband Lorne Patton of Evansville, Trina Reish and her husband Terry of Arvada, Colorado and Cheryl Richner and her husband Ray of Milliken, Colorado and one son, David Young and his wife Malynda of Ft. Collins, Colorado. She has 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, an aunt and uncle, Gladys and Delbert Hansen of South Dakota and numerous other family . She is also survived by her dogs, Chance and Peppy and her horse Jet Black Baby. She was also preceded in death by her parents , and her saddlebread horse Rusty Riverdance. She and her husband are forever riding together in Heaven.
Graveside services will be Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, 9:30 AM at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Newcomer Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 to 7 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Childrens Hospital. Arrangements under the direction of Newcomer Funeral Home.
