Bob D. Nuzum, 85, passed away January 26, 2013 at Wyoming Medical Center. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery.
He was born to William and Bertha Nuzum on September 16, 1926, in Nebraska. He graduated high school, and became a professional rodeo participant in steer wrestling. Bob then became a long-distance truck driver for the rest of his employment years, first for Allied Van Lines, then Salt Creek Freight lines until his retirement.
Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He always had an American Flag flying at his home 24 hours a day. He was very proud to be a veteran, became a life member in the VFW and the Cooties, serving in many of the offices, and was member of the American Legion.
Bob married "Babe", the love of his life, on December 1, 1956, and they had 52 years together. She passed away on December 22, 2008.
He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Ball and Renee Kelly, both of Casper. They blessed him with a total of 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandsons, establishing a 5-generation family. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death, in addition to his wife, by 10 brothers and 2 sisters.
