Blanche Rautio passed away peacefully on Friday, November 18th in Shepard of the Valley nursing home in Casper, Wy. A longtime Judith Basin and Cascade County, Montana resident, born September 22, 1914 in Dover, Mt, she attended schools in the Stanford community. She married Vincent Riley in 1942 and after his death married Earl Rautio in 1950. She and Earl ranched in the Geyser, MT area where Blanche was very active in St. Cyril's Catholic Church. After his death in 1977, she moved to Great Falls and was very active in her volunteerism with the Cascade County Historical Society, American Cancer Society, Great Falls Senior Citizen Center, and Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.
She lives on in the hearts of her children, John Riley, Wayne Riley, Darlene Rautio, and Vern Rautio; her daughter-in-laws Betty Riley, Karen Riley, and Heidi Rautio; her 5 beloved grandchildren and her 4 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Clarence Kolar of Great Falls, MT and her sister Lucille Hunt of Portland, OR.
Services will be Wednesday at St. Cyril's Catholic Church in Geyser, MT at 11:00 am.
