Born on May 4, 1919 in Whitestone, NY she attended school in Flushing, NY. She died on October 3, 2005 after a valiant battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and two sisters.
She married Michael Bednarz in New York on October 1, 1938. They had three daughters. After
Michael died, she married Stanley Bednarz, (Michael's brother), on May 8, l970. They lived in upstate New York in Barryville. They later moved to Casper to be near her three daughters.
She was a school secretary in New York for many years. When they moved to Casper, she got very involved with the VFW. She held many offices and served two terms as president of the Womens' Auxiliary. She also worked as a Pink Lady for the hospital. She loved to crochet and made many baby hats for the hospital nursery. She also made lap robes for VFW veterans. She was a very giving person and a good mom, grandma and great grandma.
Survivors include her three daughters; Patricia Tocco, spouse of Gabriel Tocco; Dorothy Josten, spouse of Gerald Josten; and Christine DeBernardo, spouse of Robert DeBernardo all of Casper.
She also leaves eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
