Billie J. Rodgers, age 92
Peacefully passed away in her home surrounded by her family, Sat. the 10th of March 2012.
A celebration of her life will be held on March 24th at 11am at Highland Park Church.
She is survived by her sister, Marjorie P. Dunn and her brother Don K. Parker, both of
Casper. Her five children, Merlin Gene, Renee, Billie Jane, Marsha L. and Jerry A. Rodgers all of
Casper. Six grandchildren, Todd Rodgers of Casper, Tina Schaefbauer of Houston Texas, Tammy
Rodgers of Houston Texas, Tanna Hane of Casper, Travis Snoberger of Casper, and
Tegan Alberding of Casper, eight great grandchildren, Alyssa and Amanda Schaefbauer of Houston
Texas, Austin and Anna Rodgers, Daniel, Carley, and Kayla Hane, and Thomas Alberding, all of Casper.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Merlin A. Rodgers, her parents Marvin and
Blanche Parker, three brothers, Rex, Robert and Pat Parker. Great Granddaughter
Tammy Jean Rodgers, and daughter-in-law Pamula Rodgers.
She attended school in Handley, Texas and finished in Hutchinson, Kansas.
She held several jobs, first as a beautician in Hutchinson and also a sales clerk, then
a bookkeeper for the family painting business. An office manager and waitress at
The Red and White Café. And last, but not least, she also cooked and waited tables at
The Base Camp Café in Alcova, Wyoming.
She was also a member of Women in Construction from 1964 through 1971. Billie was an honorary member of The Elks Lodge in Casper, Wyoming.
Her hobbies were needle work, bowling, and spending time with her family.
