Obituary – Billie Irene Glover
Billie Irene Glover, 88, crossed over to Heaven December 14, 2018. Her enduring beauty and precious smile warmed the hearts of everyone she met. Her strong faith in Jesus Christ carried her through tougher things in this life than most will ever know, and that faith gives absolute confidence of her place in Heaven with her Lord and Savior.
Born in Magic City, Texas on August 15, 1930, Billie spent her childhood years in her home state surrounded by extended family. As a young, independent woman she travelled to California where she discovered her fondness for motorcycles, especially her Indian Scout, and spent many happy days riding with the Motor Maids. In California, she also met and fell in love with a young Army soldier, Carl Glover, whom she married in 1957. Together they relocated several times including Leadville CO, Billings MT, Story WY, Mesquite NV, and Casper WY. Billie enjoyed quilting, gardening, genealogy, her walking club, and was a great cook, sharing her recipes and knowledge with several generations.
Billie Irene Glover is survived by two sons, Dan (Alice) and Jim (Sue), her special sister-in law Janet Klein, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and numerous nephews, nieces, and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, her son Steven Cass, her parents Elmer Roach and Ethel Taylor Roach, her two brothers, and two grandchildren.
This world has lost a truly beautiful soul, but Billie's strong heart and radiant smile will be remembered for a very long time, carried by the many folks whose lives she touched. Cremation has taken place. A service celebrating her life will be held January 12, 2019 in Billings, MT at 2pm at the New Hope Church of the Nazarene. Memorials in her honor can be made to a charity of the donor's choosing. "Well done my good and faithful servant . . . enter into the joy of the Lord." Matthew 25:21-23
